ThriveAmerica video blogging

Posted on 12 May 2009 by Russ

As many of my close friends and colleagues know, I work very closely with Brent Brooks of Blank Stage Productions. He came to me about three weeks ago with a very innovative idea. He has been producing video content of experts who work with or deal with in some fashion companies or entrepreneurs. He has been interviewing them to get tips, advice and suggestions for anyone who is considering starting their own business or who is currently a small business owner.

As his first interviewee I must say that I feel like this is going to be a huge success. The caliber of guests that he has had on to this point has been impressive to say the least.

Of course I like to show off my work, but I also want to share with my readers this great new site, a real resource for any business person. Take a peak at ThriveAmerica.

Remember the site is still in beta, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated in my comments below.

Great work on this blog site Russell. I am getting amazing feedback on how clean and professional the site looks and acts. So easy for me to work the backend to. Now we can focus on taking this site to the next level rather then sorting bugs out all the time. Whew – what a relief to finally have an fun and operational blog/ website.

i am excited to see how this turns out, the only problem will be in content management, blogs are nice because you can search for many things and find what you need, but we would need a way to search the video for content and that could be very hard to do. i know tags can be used, but it gets messy. nice post though i’m excited to see the results.

In my all Internet carrier, I found that people don’t share new ventures and ideas with others but I am more than happy to have this blog in my visiting list. Your post is wonderful and it is cool idea. I hope it will flourish well.

I’m looking to possibly do a multimedia blog, with video, of a road trip. Perhaps I’d post entries every few days, whenever there’s decent Internet access. I DO have all hardware/software needed to shoot video and prepare it for web output.

I like more colorfull sites but many people don’t like it.My advice is to do it more colorful but I don’t know if the other will like it inthis way.

I have a few clips which are semi-gross or semi-adult (but nonnude- just the subject material) and probably just enough so that youtube would ban them…. What sites are best for posting edgy material?

Sounds like a very nice niche to be in. Due to the info-heavy nature of this model, this will probably command more money per click or user action than general themed or general business type sites. You may also ask your client to invest in focused articles to get more search traffic.

I think that only posting interesting blog materials is the 100% correct Internet promotion. Video blogging uses more difficult information resource that is needed to be prepared. But it`s wasting of time.
